About artist ANKRI

ANKRI (Kiev) – artist, Art-Office Gallery FEDINI resident

ANKRI is a talent and perspective young artist who does not seek to advertise his creative activities and has a special perception of the world, which is reflected in the artist’s paintings.

ANKRI attended art school from his youth, and later continued education in the College of design. In College, ANKRI was addicted to portrait painting. Since 2016, as an alternative to standard and identical portraits, the artist began to create plot works using collage techniques. The need to realize the creative potential, as well as personal crisis periods of search, lasting for several years, led ANKRI to a special author’s performing technique of works, which are currently placed in the Art-Office gallery FEDINI.

At the moment, ANKRI continues to work and study the pseudo-realistic properties of painting, largely using the technique of assemblage. ANKRI creates works by visually combining several elements of painting, which can be partially reproduced copies of famous world masterpieces, or the results of his own imagination. The artist often uses the methods of Lucio Fontana, cutting through the canvas and decorating holes with a brush and threads.

The artist is inspired by his environment – people, architecture, music.

Some ANKRI’s works are in private collections.
